Dream
"I have a dream" Martin Lurther once said
but the South ignored him and wanted him dead
Racism was known
and whites took the thrown
We know who wanted to rule
Because whites were just straight cruel
Freedom
Freedom is all is all they ask
blacks made it know that was their task
Even though they repeatedly got hurt
They weren't going to sit back and get treated like dirt
All they wanted was equal rights
But the South wouldn't agree and continued to fight
Day and Night they pray someone will finally listen
and stand up for them and find out what they have been missin'
Pray
They stand up and protest everyday
While their souls repeat the words of pray
If only the world could see how they are treated
Maybe they could step back and stop them from getting beated.
They continue to kill them with kindness
While the whites only back with their finest.Stand Up
Not knowing what shall come tomorrow
While Whites scream in their face which only builds up sorrow
Only wanting the right to exist with equal rights
But no one seems to budge and continues to turn off their lights
Only hoping and wishing they will be saved
For this is not the life they choose, so they shall not cave.
Color
Nothings is different besides the color they see
All blacks only wish to be equal and free
The only answer for the South is change change change
To leave their comfort zone and expand their range
They continuously lay their head at night
Hoping someone with stand up and fight for what is right
While Whites scream in their face which only builds up sorrow
Only wanting the right to exist with equal rights
But no one seems to budge and continues to turn off their lights
Only hoping and wishing they will be saved
For this is not the life they choose, so they shall not cave.
Color
Nothings is different besides the color they see
All blacks only wish to be equal and free
The only answer for the South is change change change
To leave their comfort zone and expand their range
They continuously lay their head at night
Hoping someone with stand up and fight for what is right
